At Prado + Jardín, we look to nature as a guide—drawing from Pachamama (Earth Mother) to shape landscapes that reconnect people with the land. Through thoughtful, place-based design and California native plants, we create gardens that support biodiversity and respond to climate.

Jason Prado is the principal and founder of Prado x Jardín. His California upbringing gave him a deep understanding of the state’s diverse native plant communities, while his Peruvian roots inform an approach grounded in working with the land, rather than against it. With a background in landscape architecture and habitat restoration, he brings an ecological lens to every project.
Before founding Prado x Jardín, Jason worked at Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects, and Miridae. He is ReScape Qualified Professional and Certified California Native Plant Landscaper.
